Munich and caramel malts from Bamberg, Germany, give this seasonal bier a smooth, bread-like flavor with a slight sweetness. German Perle and Northern Brewer hops finish out this traditional fall-time favorite.
The chocolate and roast malts are kept at bay slightly to accentuate the spicy and dry character of Pale and Crystal Rye malts while Columbus, Northern Brewer and Centennial hops lurk in the shadows.
A.k.a The Spirit Cowboy, this smooth and smoky lager is brewed with over 50% beechwood smoked pilsner malt along with Saaz and Perle hops.
